This oil is an all natural expeller pressed unrefined oil for cooking, flavouring or finishing. It is made from the first pressing of non-GMO butternut squash seeds harvested and sourced from a produce farm in central New York State. The seeds are roasted and pressed by WholeHeartFoods in the Finger Lakes Region of Geneva New York. This oil has a deep golden hue and a nutty buttery flavour reminiscent of cashew. It is high in healthy mono-and poly-unsaturated fats and is a rich source of vitamin E. This oil pairs well with fish, meat, and roasted vegetables and is a fun alternative to butter over popcorn, mashed potatoes, or polenta. With a smoke point of 425 degrees it is suitable for stir frying, roasting or grilling.
